Commercial real estate investor Meir Benzaken just sold a 96-unit garden apartment community in Fort Lauderdale for $9.6 million in an off-market deal. Miami-based investor Eli Ran, through the entity BSD Carter Park LLC, purchased the Carter Apartments at 700 and 745 Northwest 14 Terrace, property records show. The 24-building property traded for $100,000 per unit. The complex is east of I-95 and south of West Sunrise Boulevard.

Majority of fractured condo sells for $17.43M
The majority of units in the Circle One Condominium, also know as The Circle at Inverrary, in Lauderhill sold for $17.43 million. Florida's Attainable Home CO. managed by Meir Benzaken in Pompano Beach, sold the 153 condos at 2611 and 2601 NW 56th ave. to Elizabeth Gardens at Lauderhill LLC.
Pompano Beach firm acquires Central Florida mall with 22% vacancy rateA Pompano Beach-based company bought a shopping mall in Central Florida with a 22 percent vacancy rate for $23 million. The buyer, Village Lake Promenade, a company formed in July, plans to renovate the ViaPort Florida mall in Leesburg and reduce its vacancy rate to 15 percent in a year. Meir Benzaken is a principal of Village Lake Promenade and an officer of Pompano Beach-based Exclusive Management and Properties Inc., which specializes in renovating retail properties.
